New Samsung for ladies

Maybe Samsung is one of several manufacturer which is very consistence on bringing new product for ladies. The fashion clamshell, L310 and L320, are uniquely designed for fashion galore, instead of their functionality.

They have beautiful display, bluetooth, external memory, and camera. To be added, L310 comes with a number of Female applications. They are Shopping list, Fragrance type and Calories consumption. The phones will be available this February and come in 220-240 Euro price tag.

New Sony Ericsson low-end phones

Sony Ericsson unveiled 4 new low-end phones in India. They are 2 Radio series, R300 and R306, and 2 new T series, T270 and T280. The T series will replace the position of “luxurious” low end T250. The new R series, which are newly introduced, will accommodate the ability of playing both AM and FM frequency. All four will be available for selected countries, mostly emerging third world countries.

New Nokia 7900 Crystal Prism

New Nokia Prism series after 7500, this Crystal Prism offers unique body designed by Frederique Daubal. 7900 accommodates most of current multimedia feature. Dual-band UMTS (with no video call service), 2 megapixels camera with flash, and 1 GB internal memory (no memory slot available). The phone will be available this Q1 2008 and approximately tagged at 375 Euro (almost US$ 550).

Nokia launched Ovi multimedia services

Nokia launched their version of iTunes. Christened as Ovi, which is Finnish of “door”, is new suite of applications, allowing user to experience some excellent functionality on the mobile web.

A few of the applications include things like Nokia Maps or access to the N-Gage gaming market, but the emphasis on Ovi lies within Nokia’s Ovi music store. The Ovi service is currently only available in the UK and Europe, but expect it to hit the American shores in late 2008.

Sony Ericsson unveiled new line ups in CES

In CES, Las Vegas, Sony Ericsson announced their first new line ups in 2008. There are 3 of them, two phones  are categorized as walkman phone, while the last remaining is a clamshell phone. W760 is global walkman phone, can be used in any GSM band and UMTS/HSDPA band. Also the phone is the first to be equipped with built-in GPS.

The second is W350. It is flip down form factor, one we rarely see since the era of Ericsson’s T-series. A 10.5 mm thin, the phone has 1.9 inch TFT display and Bluetooth Stereo Streaming for wire-free music listening. The last one is clamshell Z555. It features a 1.9″ 262K display with 176 x 220 pixels resolution and an external OLED monochrome screen supporting resolution of 128 x 36 pixels.

N95 new firmware

The 15.0.015 version of Nokia N95 new firmware brings quite significant performance. The main among them is the added Flash Lite 3 and full flash video support, means that we can view Youtube in full web version.

The next one is new feature named Web Run Time for Widget platform. It is web-based application, which looks similar like native Symbian S60 application. Other awaited improvement is speed boost. The start-up time of the phone has now been further reduced by a few seconds and the USB transfer speeds have also been greatly increased.

Nokia N82 8 GB

Is this for real? I think so. After N95 and N81 has 8 GB variant, soon Nokia N82 will have this 8GB variant too. Reveal in Nokia Nseries US portal, the N82 8GB has been listed in supported devices.

Rumor: Sony Ericsson P5i

Rumor spreads hard that the next descendant of P series is this yet-not-to-be-confirmed, Sony Ericsson P5i. The rumored specifications are 2.8 inch VGA display, 5 megapixels CyberShot camera, Wi-Fi, GPS, 160 MB of on-board memory, M2 and microSD slots (like in K850). All operating on a 360MHz CPU and Symbian OS 9.1.

The phone is predicted to be announced officially in Mobile World Congress next February.
